Resolution 11468CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11468 A RESOLUTION PRELIMINARILY APPROVING ENGINEER'S REPORT DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER LEVY AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF HEARING THEREOF Island City Landscaping and Lighting District 84-2 RESOLVED, by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Alameda (the "City"); County of Alameda, California, that: 1. On May 3, 1988, this Council adopted Resolution No. 11462, A Resolution Directing Preparation of Annual Report for Maintenance Assessment District, Island City Landscaping and Lighting District (the "District"). Pursuant to said resolution, Mr. John Heindel prepared a report in accordance with Section 22565, et seq., of the California Streets and Highways Code. Said report has been made, filed with the City Clerk and duly considered by this City Council and is hereby deemed sufficient and preliminarily approved. Said report shall stand as the Engineer's Report for all subsequent proceedings under and pursuant to the foregoing resolution. 2. It is the intention of this City Council to levy and collect assessments within the Island City Landscaping and Lighting District for the fiscal year 1988-1989. Within the District, the existing and proposed improvements and any substantial changes proposed to be made to the existing improvements are generally as described in said proceedings and said Engineer's Report. 3. The District consists of the lots and parcels in the City of Alameda and is divided into the zones all as more particularly set forth in said Engineer's Report. 4. Reference is hereby made to the aforementioned Engineer's Report, on file with the City Clerk, for a full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of the District and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land within the District. 5. Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, June 7, 1988, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m. in the regular meeting place of this Council, Council Chambers, City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, California, a hearing by the Council will be held on the questions of any proposed annexations to the District and of the levy of the proposed assessment. Revised 5/13/88 1 Prior to the conclusion of said hearing, any interested person may file a written protest with said Clerk, or, having previously filed a protest, may file a written withdrawal of that protest. A written protest shall state all grounds of objection. A protest by a property owner shall contain a description sufficient to identify the property owned by such owner. 6. The City Clerk shall cause notice of said hearing to be given by publishing a copy of this resolution once, at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the hearing above specified, in the Times -Star, a newspaper circulated in the City of Alameda. 2 I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of May, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Counci1members Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
