AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC.
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CATALINA AVENUE WIDENING
AND NORTH LOOP ROAD, NO. P.W. 2-88-3, AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Construction of Catalina
Avenue Widening and North Loop Road, Assessment District 84-4, in
accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 2-88-3 approved May 3,
1988; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$1,294,130.60; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE,IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
J: of Alameda that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc. is hereby
accepted, the contract for Construction of Catalina Avenue
i. Widening and North Loop Road, is hereby awarded to said bidder,
u E and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
t to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 7th of June, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES:
Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
