Resolution No. 11481
AUTHORIZING AN INVESTMENT ACCOUNT WITH
MERRILL LYNCH PIERCE FENNER & SMITH, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to open and maintain
an investment account with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith,
Inc. for the investment of City funds; and
WHEREAS, any investment of City funds from this account
shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the approved
City Investment Policies and Guidelines;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda be, and it hereby is,
authorized and empowered to open and maintain an investment
account with Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith, Inc.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following
officers/employees of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized
to give written and verbal instructions to Merrill Lynch Pierce
Fenner & Smith, Inc. as to the purchase, delivery or disposition
of City investments placed with said firm:
William J. Zenoni, Finance Director
Adele R. Oakes, Revenue Accountant
Lewis E. Hurwitz, City Treasurer
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of June, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
