ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR
BIDS FOR PHASE II SEWER REHABILITATION AND RELIEF
PROJECT, NO. P.W. 4-87-10, AND DIRECTING CITY
CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, specifications and plans have been prepared for
Phase II Sewer Rehabilitation and Relief Project, numbered P.W.
4-87-10 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on June 21,
1988.
WHEREAS, advertising for bids and bid opening date are
subject to approval of the plans and specifications by the
State Water Resources Control Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Specifications be, and the same are, hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
p.m. on Friday, August 5, 1988, for furnishing to the City of
all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Plans. Bids must be presented to the City and
plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Phase II Sewer
Rehabilitation and Relief Project," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the
responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the Director of Public Works, at his office in
the City Hall, Alameda, California.

Upon final approval of the plans and specifications by
<the State Water Resources Control Board, the City Clerk is hereby
directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice
calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of
this resolution and of said specifications and plans.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of June, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
