Resolution 11497CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 11497 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT WITH BAY AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC. FOR FOUR BRIDGES JOB DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) authorized under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended; and WHEREAS, there is a citywide need for affordable pre-vocational skills training and job development for adults with a psychiatric history; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the provision of pre-vocational skills training and job development is an eligible use of funds under Section 570.201(e) of the CDIJG regulations; and WHEREAS, the City has programmed funds from the FY 1988-09 Community Development Block Grant Entitlement (Grant funds) for the purpose of providing pre-vocational skills training and job development for eligible individuals in the City; and WHEREAS, Bay Area Community Services, Inc. exists and is qualified through the Four Bridges Program to provide said services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the Interim City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City, an agreement with Bay Area Community Services, Inc. for our Bridges Job Development Program for Fiscal Year 1988-89, I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th of July, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
