AWARDING CONTRACT TO O. C. JONES & SONS FOR BRIDGE
VIEW ISLE BICYCLE STAGING AREA, NO. P.W. 5-87-12,
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Bridge View Isle
Bicycle Staging Area, in accordance with Specifications No. P.W.
5-87-12 approved July 5, 1988; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by O. C. Jones & Sons agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $58,762.50;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of 0. C. Jones & Sons is hereby
accepted, the contract for the Bridge View Isle Bicycle Staging
Area is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $29,190.00 be and
hereby is appropriated from the Gas Tax funds to fund said
I project.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd day of August, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
