AWARDING CONTRACT TO INDUSTRIAL ROOFING COMPANY
FOR ROOF REPAIRS AT THE MASTICK SENIOR CENTER
NO. P.W. 3 -88 -7, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Roof Repairs at the Mastick
Senior Center, in accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 3 -88 -7
approved June 7, 1988; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Industrial Roofing Company to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $7,860 for
the base bid and $12,960 for alternate one for a total of
$20,820; and
WHEREAS, $15,000 in Fiscal Year 1987 -88 Community
Development Block Grant funds was allocated by the City Council
for the planning and execution of roof repairs; and
WHEREAS, $9,702 in Fiscal Year 1987 -88 Contingency funds
is also available to fund the additional cost of said repairs;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the base bid and alternate one of Industrial
Roofing Company is hereby accepted, the contract for Roof Repairs
at the Mastick Senior Center is hereby awarded to said bidder,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of August, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Monsef, Thomas and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
