AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
BLAYNEY -DYETT FOR PLANNING SERVICES FOR
REVISION OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, on July 29, 1987, this Council adopted the City
Budget for 1987 -89, including an allocation in the Capital
Improvements Projects for a comprehensive revision of the
General Plan; and
WHEREAS, on May 23, 1988, a request for Statement of
Qualifications was sent out to sixteen planning consultant firms;
and
WHEREAS, on June 28, 1988, four proposals in response
were received; and
WHEREAS, after evaluation of the proposals by a City
evaluation panel, the firm of Blayney -Dyett was selected, on the
basis of its experience with similar projects, scope of work, and
problems for facilitating citizen participation in the plan
review process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council, of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager and the City Clerk be, and each
hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement with
Blayney -Dyett for planning services for the General Plan Revision
not to exceed the sum of $227,800.00.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 6th of September, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Counci.lmembers Arnerich, -Monse
President Corica - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
