AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH ALAMEDA
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT
AND APPROVING ALAMEDA'S SHARE OF STORM DRAIN NON -
POINT SOURCE CONTROL EVALUATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Basin Plan for the San Francisco Bay
requires that discharge of toxics into receiving waters be
monitored and controlled by the responsible community or agency;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, as part of Alameda County,
is required by the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control
Board to evaluate the storm runoff that enters the Bay by June
30, 1991; and
WHEREAS, Alameda County sent an Agreement to be signed
by the City of Alameda for implementation and completion of the
Evaluation Plan before said date; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's share for the cost of the
work will be $71,220.00, spread over three years for an annual
cost of $23,740.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and each hereby
is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement with Alameda
County Flood Control and Water Conservation District for said
Storm Drain Non -Point Source Control Evaluation Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby approves
Alameda's share of said Evaluation Program in the amount of
$71,220.00.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 20th of September, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
