AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, ATLANTIC AVENUE EXTENSION
TO ALAMEDA BELT LINE AND TRIUMPH DRIVE, MARINA
VILLAGE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 84 -3, NO P.W. 6 -88-
11, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Street Improvements,
Atlantic Avenue Extension to Alameda Belt Line and Triumph Drive,
Marina Village Assessment District 84 -3, in accordance with
Specifications No P.W. 6 -88 -11 approved August 16, 1988, and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$553,197.00, and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Gallagher & Burk, Inc. is hereby
accepted, the contract for Street Improvements, Atlantic Avenue
Extension to Alameda Belt Line and Triumph Drive, Marina Village
Assessment District 84 -3, is hereby awarded to said bidder, and
the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing_
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 20th of September, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
