Resolution 11578CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11578 APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM ASSET SEIZURE FUND AND TRAFFIC SAFETY FUND FOR PURCHASE OF POLICE MOBILE DIGITAL TERMINAL SYSTEM AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of purchasing and implementing a Police Department Mobile Digital Terminal System as the final phase of the public safety data processing project; and WHEREAS, funds are available in the Asset Seizure Fund and Traffic Safety Fund for the purchase of said system; and WHEREAS, there remains available $80,000 in the data processing Capital Improvement Budget which can be utilized for this project; and WHEREAS, the Police Chief has recommended utilizing the consulting services of the Warner Group for assistance in selecting the system that best satisfies the needs of the Police Department, for assistance in negotiation of a contract and implementation of the system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that funds in the amount of $138,190 from the Traffic Safety Fund and in the amount of $141,810 from the Asset Seizure Fund are hereby appropriated for the purchase of a Police Mobile Digital Terminal System; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Police Chief is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for consulting services with the Warner Group for assistance with said project at a cost not to exceed $20,000. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that-the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in adjourned regular meeting assembled on the 20th of October, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia and President'Corica 3.
