AUTHORIZING REPROGRAMMING OF UNEXPENDED PRIOR YEAR'S UDAG
LOAN REPAYMENT FUNDS TO BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda in August, 1988
authorized execution of a Grant Agreement with the Alameda Main Street
Project; and
WHEREAS, said Grant Agreement allocated FY 1988 -89 UDAG Loan Repayment
Funds to the Business Associations and the Alameda Main Street Project
for a Business Improvement District project; and
WHEREAS, the Business Associations and the Alameda Main Street Project
entered into an Agreement with Zephyr Associates to provide necessary
technical assistance associated with formation of the District; and
WHEREAS, the Business Associations and the Alameda Main Street Project
have participated in a feasibility study and have determined that it is
desirable to proceed with the formation of said District; and
WHEREAS, continued services of Zephyr Associates is necessary to proceed
and all funds previously allocated have already been committed to the
project; and
WHEREAS, $5,425 in unexpended FY 1987 -88 UDAG Loan Repayment Funds are
available for reprogramming to said project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Alameda that the reprogramming of $5,425 in unexpended FY 1987 -88 UDAG
Loan Repayment Funds to the Business Improvement District project of the
Business Associations and the Alameda Main Street Project is hereby
authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that
the Grant Agreement with the Alameda Main Street Project be amended
accordingly.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 1st of November, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
