Resolution 11594CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11594 AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TRAIL GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE, COASTAL AND PARK LAND CONSERVATION BOND ACT OF 1988, FOR PATHWAY AROUND DOOLITTLE LANDFILL WHEREAS, Bay Conservation and Development Commission Permit No. M87-9 for the Doolittle Landfill site requires the City of Alameda to provide for public access and related improvements for the perimeter of the site; and WHEREAS, said project, originally proposed to be funded by the State Coastal Conservancy (Resolution No. 11562), was deemed ineligible by said Conservancy because it does not approve funding for projects required to be built as a condition of a BCDC permit; and WHEREAS, said project is eligible for funding by the Trail Grant Program under the California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Bond Act of 1988; and WHEREAS, as part of the application package for the Trail Grant Program the Council is required to certify by resolution the approval of applications before submission of said applications to the state. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby: 1. Authorizes application for grant funds from the Trail Grant Program under the California Wildlife, Coastal and Park Land Conservation Bond Act of 1988, for pathway around Doolittle Landfill. 2. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City of Alameda to coordinate, process, and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents which may be %z- necessary for receipt of grant funds for the aforementioned 0 \-2 ) * * * * * * t I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of November, 1988, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5.
