AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO SERVICE AGREEMENT
WITH GATES, MCDONALD & COMPANY FOR CLAIM ADMINISTRATION
OF THE SELF - INSURED WORKERS' COMPENSATION PROGRAM OF
THE CITY AND BUREAU OF ELECTRICITY
WHEREAS, on November 1, 1976 the City entered into an
agreement with Gates, McDonald & Company for its services in the
administration of the self - insured workers' compensation program
of the City and the Bureau of Electricity; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been
submitted to amend the term and the consideration provisions,
thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda, that the City Manager and City Clerk, be, and
each hereby is, authorized to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an amendment to the Service
Agreement with Gates, McDonald & Company, providing for the
extension of the agreement to October 31, 1990 and providing for
self renewal on a year -to -year basis thereafter unless terminated
as provided in said agreement, and amending the service fee for
the first year, payable quarterly at the rate of $7,116.50, and
the second year, payable quarterly at the rate of $7,685.75.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 15th of November, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and
