AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CDBG GRANT AGREEMENT WITH
OPERATION SENTINEL - EASTBAY
FOR FAIR HOUSING AND HOUSING SUPPORT SERVICES FOR
FY 1988-89
WHEREAS. the City is a participant in the Community Development
Block Grant Program authorized under the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974 as amended; and
WHEREAS, Equal Housing Opportunity is a right guaranteed to all
Americans under Title VIII of the 1969 Civil Rights Law; and
WHEREAS, Fair Housing and Housing Support Services are eligible
uses of CDBG funds under Section 24 CFR 570,206(c) and under Section
570.20I(e); and
WHEREAS, the City has allocated $16,893 in Fiscal Year 1988-89 CDBG
funds for Fair Housing and Housing Support Services; and
WHEREAS, the Subgrantee represents that it is qualified and will
provide such services at a cost of $17,498;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the reprogramming of $605 in FY 1988,-89 Contingency funds
to Housing Support Services is hereby authorized; and
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City, CDBG Grant Agreement with
Operational Sentinel - Eastbay for Fair Housing and Housing Support
Services for FY 1988-89.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 15th of November, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
