AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
FOR LEGAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, a dramatic increase in litigation against the
City of Alameda has occurred in recent years, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has
determined that legal services may be more efficiently delivered
by contracting with a litigation law firm which would also
continue the services of the present City Attorney;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and each
hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement with Meyer and
Mitchell to provide the services of City Attorney required by
Article VIII of the City Charter.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting
assembled on the 31st of January, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Monsef, Thomas and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
ABSENT: None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and

February, 1989.
