Resolution 11663CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11663 AUTHORIZING INCENTIVES FOR PARTICIPANTS IN "BEAT THE BACK-UP" TSM WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has asked its employees to participate in the upcoming "Beat the Back-up" event sponsored by KPIX radio and ABAG on February 28, 1989; and WHEREAS, said event encourages people to help alleviate traffic congestion, and reduce air pollution by sharing rides, taking transit, walking or biking; and WHEREAS, to promote City participation in said event, a get-together for all participants is planned with a drawing being held with giveaways that have been donated by various businesses throughout the City as well as free classes donated by the City through the the Recreation and Park Department; and WHEREAS, the City can show its support by donating four twosomes of golf with an approximate value of $90.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby donates four twosomes of golf as incentives for participation in the "Beat the back-up" event to be held February 28, 1989. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of February, 1989, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Counciimembers Arnerich., Camioj2a, Monsef, Thomas and President Corica - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None, IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 22nd day of February, 1989.
