A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA BY
ELIMINATING THE LAST SENTENCE ON PAGE 96 OF THE COMBINED LAND
USE PLAN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda has considered General
Plan Amendment GPA -89 -I to delete the last sentence on page 96 which reads: "The
number of publically supported low and moderate -cost housing units in the City should
not exceed the same percentage of total housing stock as that supplied by other East Bay
cities. "; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has held a public hearing on this matter and has
examined pertinent maps, drawings, and documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has made the following findings:
I. There would be no impact on the environment from the proposed General
Plan Amendment.
2. The proposed General Plan Amendment would not have any significant
effect on the City's housing policies.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda
c hereby approves this proposed amendment to the Combined Land Use Plan of the General
Plan.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 16th of May, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers. rnerich, Camicia, Thomas,
Withrow and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
