AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT OF GRANT AGREEMENT WITH
THE ALAMEDA EMERGENCY FOOD INC. FOR INSURANCE AND UTILITIES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989 -90
WHEREAS, the City is
Block Grant Program (CDBG)
Development Act of 1974, as
a participant in the Community Development
authorized under the Housing and Community
amended; and
WHEREAS, there is a citywide need for buying, transporting, and
distributing emergency food for low- and moderate - income persons and
families; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the provision of
services is an eligible use of funds under 570.201(e) of
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City has programmed $3,800 in FY 1988 -89
Development Block Grant Entitlement funds for the purpose of
operating funds for insurance and utilities costs; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the Agreement with the Alameda Emergency Food Inc. for
Insurance and Utilities for FY 1988 -89 be amended to extend this
Agreement for FY 1989 -90.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2Qth of June, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Withrow and Acting
President Arnerich - 3.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Thomas and Mayor Corica 2,
