AWARDING CONTRACT FOR LEGAL ADVERTISING FOR CITY
OF ALAMEDA FOR FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 TO ALAMEDA
TIMES STAR
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for legal advertising for
Fiscal Year 1989-90; and
WHEREAS, in response to said Notice, sealed bids were
submitted by the Alameda Times-Star and Alameda Journal, and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Times-Star submitted the lowest bid
for the publication of all legal advertising, and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Times-Star is a newspaper with a
general circulation and published in the City of Alameda with a
bona fide circulation of at least 1,000 copies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that pursuant to Section 3-18 of the City Charter, the
proposal submitted by said Alameda Times-Star is hereby accepted
and the contract for the publication of all legal advertising of
the City of Alameda during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1990
is hereby awarded to said Alameda Times-Star, and that the Mayor
be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to
attest, said Contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 20th of June, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Withrow and Acting
President Arnerich 3.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Thomas and Mayor Corica - 2.
