AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT AGREEMENT WITH
BAY AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC.
FOR FOUR BRIDGES PROGRAM IN FISCAL YEAR 1989 -90
WHEREAS, the City is a participant in the Community Development
Block Grant Program (CDBG) authorized under the Housing and Community
Development Act of 1974, as amended; and
WHEREAS, there is a citywide need for affordable social
rehabilitation services and pre - vocational skills training for adults
with a psychiatric history; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the provision of said services
is an eligible use of funds under Section 570.201(e) of the CDBG
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the City has carried - forward $275 from FY 1988 -89 and
programmed $6,430 in FY 1989 -90 CDBG funds for the purpose of providing
said services for eligible individuals in the City; and
WHEREAS, the Subgrantee is uniquely qualified through the Four
Bridges Program to provide said services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City, an agreement with
Bay Area Community Services, Inc. for the Four Bridges Program for
Fiscal Year 1989 -90.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 5th of July, 1989,
