RESOLUTION NO. 11768
Approving SB140, State-Local Transportation Demonstration Program,
San Leandro Bridge (Bay Farm Island Bridge) Bikeway Widening Project,
Guaranteeing 50% Local Matching Funds,
WHEREAS SB140, State-Local Transportation Demonstration Program, asks that ...
"Local entities identify and construct locally supported projects that
are not of statewide significance but are critically needed for the
local community; and
WHEREAS the City has identified a candidate project:
1. San Leandro Bridge (Bay Farm Island Bridge) Bikeway Widening
Project, and;
WHEREAS said improvements for this project consist of the following:
1. Providing a separate bicycle path.
WHEREAS the City deems this project is necessary to the safe and proper
circulation within the City;
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by Council of the City of Alameda that said
Council hereby approves the SB140 Transportation Demonstration Program
monies for this project;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council guarantees to provide 50% local
matching funds for this project.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, William C. Norton, is hereby
authorized to file this application and execute any and all agreements
pursuant to this application.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 5th of July, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas, Withrow
and President Corica - 5,
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
