AUTHORIZING ADOPTION AND EXECUTION OF COOPERATION
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND THE
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR
INDEPENDENCE PLAZA
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda
intends to construct 186 units of housing for low and moderate
income persons and an office facility for the Housing Authority;
and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority intends to fund the
construction of the project with proceeds generated through the
issuance of multifamily revenue bonds; and
WHEREAS, said Cooperation Agreement allows the Housing
Authority to maximize the number of affordable units; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Commission reviewed and approved
said Cooperation Agreement and recommends adoption to the City
Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that said Council hereby adopts the Cooperation
Agreement between the City of Alameda and the Housing Authority
of the City of Alameda for Independence Plaza;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby
authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City, that
certain Cooperation Agreement referered to above.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 19th of September, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Camicia, Thomas, Withrow and
Acting President Arnerich 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Corica 1.
