AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF
UNDERCOVER SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the Equipment
Replacement Fund to allow for the purchase of a undercover system
for the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best system
available is Unitel 210 Intelligence System; and
WHEREAS, Audio Intelligence Devices of Fort Lauderdale,
Florida offers to provide one undercover system at the all
inclusive net price of $13,053.05; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3 -15 of the City
Charter, the Council may determine that materials or supplies can
be purchased at a lower price in the open market and thereupon
proceed to purchase such materials in the open market.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
City Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to purchase one
undercover system from Audio Intelligence Devices at the. all
inclusive cost of $13,053.05 in the open market without formal
bidding procedures.
ATTORNEY
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of
October, 1989, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Thomas, Withrow and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
