APPROVING PROPOSED NEGATIVE
DECLARATION IS -89 -5
WHEREAS, State regulations require a periodic update of the
Housing Element of a City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Alameda has
considered a proposed Negative Declaration for General Plan
Amendment GPA -89 -2, the revision and updating of the Housing
Element of the City of Alameda's General Plan; and
WHEREAS, after holding hearings on the Proposed Negative
Declaration on August 28 and September 11, 1989 for public
comments; circulating it between August 3 and September 15, 1989
for written comments; and submitting it to the State of California
Office of Planning and Research, State Clearinghouse, for comment
by State agencies said Board determined that the proposed Negative
Declaration correctly reflects the lack of significant
environmental impact which would result from adoption of the
revised General Plan Housing Element and at its October 4, 1989,
meeting voted to accept the Negative Declaration as adequate for
the Housing Element Revision Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that said Council hereby approves pro •osed Negative

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of
October, 1989, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Thomas, Withrow and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
