Resolution 11859CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 11859 RECLASSIFICATION OF TWO FIRE LIEUTENANT'S POSITIONS TO FIRE CAPTAIN WHEREAS, a review of the current and anticipated workload statistics for the Bay Farm Island Fire Station (Fire Station #4), which is scheduled for completion in October of 1990, was conducted; and WHEREAS, currently on two out of a total of three shifts, a Lieutenant, Apparatus Operator, and a Firefighter staff the company; and WHEREAS, with a number of changes in both the emergency response and administrative workloads at said station, it is important that the single officer making initial command decisions have the knowledge and experience of a Captain; and WHEREAS, all other Alameda Fire Stations are commanded by a Fire Captain on every shift; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that said Council hereby authorizes the reclassification of two Fire Lieutenant's positions to Fire Captain. ATTORNEY I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of October, 1989, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilimbers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas, Withrow and President Corica - 5, NOES: None, ABSENT: None.
