AMENDING FY 1989-90 STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is a recipient of Community
Development Block Grant Entitlement Funds under the the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended;
and
WHEREAS, a total of $134,600 in prior years' funds allocated
to the acquistion of a facility by the Alameda Girls' Club
and to project contingencies are no longer needed for those
purposes; and
WHEREAS, $8,500 in FY 1989-90 Contingency funds are
currently available; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Alameda to increase
housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income persons
and provide for planned development of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City sought and considered citizens' comments
regarding the reprogramming of said funds to the FY 1989-90
Substantial Rehabilitation Program and the General Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Alameda that $18,416 in prior years' funds for
Non-Profit Acquisition and $116,184 in prior years'
Contingencies funds be reprogrammed to the FY 1989-90
Substantial Rehabilitation Program; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Alameda that $8,500 in FY 1989-90 Contingency funds be
reprogrammed to the FY 1989-90 General Plan; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that the FY
1989-90 Statement of Community Development Objectives and
Projected Use of Funds is hereby amended in accordance with
this reprogramming action.
