AWARDING CONTRACT TO MAGGIORA & GHILOTTI, INC.
FOR SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS: ST. CHARLES STREET
NORTH OF EAGLE AVENUE, NO. P.W. 12-91-16, AND
STREET IMPROVEMENTS: BAY STREET NORTH OF EAGLE
AVENUE, NO. P.W. 12-91-17
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1992 the City Council of the City
of Alameda adopted the plans and specifications and called for
sidewalk improvements for St. Charles Street north of Eagle Avenue,
No. P.W. 12-91-16, and Bay Street north of Eagle Avenue, No. P.W.
12-91-17; and
WHEREAS, in response to the call for bids, a sealed bid
was submitted by Maggiora & Ghilotti agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $34,893.50;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
WHEREAS, funding for the design and construction of the
project will be provided from Seventeenth Year Community
Development Block Grant Funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Maggiora & Ghilotti, Inc. is hereby
accepted, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of
March , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and
President Withrow - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia -
ABSTENTIONS: None.
