AWARDING CONTRACT TO BUESTAD CONSTRUCTION, INC.
FOR FIRE STATION NO. 2 MODIFICATION
AND SEISMIC UPGRADE PROJECT,
NO. P.W. 12-91-13
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda, at its
meeting of January 21, 1992, adopted plans and specifications for
Fire Station No. 2 modification and seismic upgrade; and
WHEREAS, at the bid opening on February 14, 1992, eight
(8) proposals were submitted, and the low bid was that of Buestad
Construction in the amount of $65,473.49; and
WHEREAS, the construction allows for 45 consecutive
working days to complete the project; said project to begin in
April and work expected to be completed by the end of June, 1992;
o and
WHEREAS, funds for the project were approved in the
Community Improvement Commission Resolution 91-57 in the amount of
73,
$175,000, and

C) WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff that
$78,567.00 be allocated from the Community Improvement budget
account to fund the project, which includes at 20% contingency; and
no general fund cost on appropriation is involved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Alameda awards the contract for the Fire Station No. 2
Modification and Seismic Upgrade Project No. PW. 12-91-13 to
Buestad Construction, Inc., in the amount of $78,567.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that allocations from the
Community Improvement Commission budget be used to fund the
project, which includes a 20% contingency.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of
March , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and
President Withrow - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
