APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT GPA-92-1 TO CHANGE THE
LAND USE DESIGNATION OF 28 PARCELS DESIGNATED AS
NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS TO MEDIUM-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, AND
ONE PARCEL DESIGNATED AS LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO
NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS
WHEREAS, after holding a public hearing on GPA-92-1, and
examining pertinent maps, drawings and documents as contained in
the Staff Reports to the Planning Board dated February 10, 1992,
and February 24, 1992, the Planning Board of the City of Alameda
on February 24, 1992 unanimously recommended approval of General
Plan Amendment GPA-92-1; and
WHEREAS, pursuant the California Environmental Quality Act,
a Negative Declaration, IS-92-1, has been considered and adopted
by the City Council and is adequate in addressing the environmental
impacts for the proposed General Plan Amendment, GPA-92-1; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda considered General
Plan Amendment, GPA-92-1 on March 17, 1992; and
WHEREAS, after holding a public hearing on GPA-92-1 and
examining pertinent maps, drawings, and documents on March 17,
1992, as contained in the staff report dated March 6, 1992, the
Council of the City of Alameda voted to adopt GPA-92-1;
WHEREAS, the Council has made the following findings:
1. The proposal is consistent with Policy 2.5.j., of the
General Plan.
2. The proposed General Plan Amendment will have no
significant adverse effects on the welfare of the
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that said Council adopts General Plan Amendment, GPA-92-1,
amending the land use designation of those parcels identified in
Attachment "A".
