Resolution 12223CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO.12223 AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR A COMMUNITY CRIME RESISTANCE PROGRAM GRANT AWARD, SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City of Alameda Police Department desires to undertake a certain project designated School Resource Program to be funded in part from funds made available through the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP) through its Community Crime Resistance Program; and WHEREAS, the School Resource Program will fund positions for two officers who will develop and improve lines of communication between the schools, the police; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the City Manager is authorized, on behalf of the City of Alameda, to submit an Application to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Alameda a Grant Award, including any extension or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project under the School Resource Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this body. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of April , 1992, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
