Resolution 12231CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12231 RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO THE VOLUNTEERS FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA WHEREAS, Volunteers for the City of Alameda continue to bring devotion and dedication and, at the same time, provide much needed services to the community by their generous contribution of their time, talent and special skills, and WHEREAS, the Volunteer Program provides citizens with an opportunity to meet new people, develop employment skills and gain valuable experience while contributing significantly to the improvement of their community, and WHEREAS, the Information Desk, Docent Program, and City Hall Tours provide valuable information to citizens who seek information concerning City operations, and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to acknowledge that April 26 through May 2, 1992 is NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK, AND WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to recognize and pay tribute to the valuable contributions of the City of Alameda Volunteers and the Volunteer Program. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that they recognize the City's Volunteers, and proudly support the City of Alameda Volunteer Program. This City Council thanks and commends the devoted Volunteers for their outstanding efforts. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of April , 1992, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
