APPROVING THE AMENDED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR
THE ALAMEDA COUNTY WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the seventeen member agencies of the Alameda
County Waste Management Authority entered into the most recently
amended Joint Powers Agreement effective February 13, 1990; and
WHEREAS, in adopting the Joint Powers Agreement it was
intended that sections pertaining to local funding and local
planning processes be reconsidered and amended in the future; and
WHEREAS, a comprehensive review process has been
conducted, which has involved elected officials and staff of the
member agencies; and
cl WHEREAS, all issues raised were considered in the review
process and the amended Joint Powers Agreement was approved by the
Alameda County Waste Management Authority Board on July 22, 1992;
and
WHEREAS, each member agency of the Alameda County Waste
'Management Authority has also been requested to approve and execute
the amended Joint Powers Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the
City of Alameda hereby approves the amended Joint Powers Agreement
for the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and authorizes
the Mayor to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of
September , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth
and President Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
