Resolution 12320CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12320 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 12306 AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR ASSEMBLY BILL 434 FUNDS FOR 1) SUBSCRIPTION FERRY FEEDER BUS SERVICE, 2) EMPLOYER BIKE FACILITIES PROGRAM, 3) BIKE TO BART PROGRAM, 4) ELECTRIC VEHICLE POOL CAR REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, 5) SUBSCRIPTION VANPOOL SERVICE FOR ALAMEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND CITY OF ALAMEDA EMPLOYEES, AND 6) COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS CONVERSION OF SHUTTLE BUSES WHEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have been adopted by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) in accordance with the provisions of Assembly Bill (AB) 434 (Sher), an eligible claimant wishing to receive allocation from AB434 "60% funds" shall file its applications with the BAAQMD; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, as a public agency responsible for implementing projects or programs which achieve emission reductions by effectively developing and implementing specific transportation control measures, is eligible to submit projects or programs for AB434 "60% funds" which are directly administered by BAAQMD; and WHEREAS, six projects that are eligible for said funds are 1) Subscription Ferry Feeder Bus Service with the estimated project cost being $118,800, 2) Employer Bike Facilities Program with the estimated project cost being $25,000, 3) Bike to BART Program with the estimated project cost being $76,000, 4) Electric Vehicle Pool Car Replacement Program with the estimated ?, cost being $98,000, 5) Subscription Vanpool Service for Alameda Unified School District and City of Alameda Employees, with the estimated project cost being $65,000, and 6) Compressed Natural Gas Conversion of Shuttle Buses, with an estimated project cost being $18,500; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to apply for AB434 funds, and carry out the proposed programs and projects, for 1) Subscription Ferry Feeder Bus Service, 2) Employer Bike Facilities Program, 3) Bike to BART Program, 4) Electric Vehicle Pool Car Replacement Program, 5) Subscription Vanpool Service for Alameda Unified School District and City of Alameda Employees, and 6) Compressed Natural Gas Conversion of Shuttle Buses. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th day of September 1992, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
