Resolution 12349CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12349 GUARANTEEING MATCHING FUNDS FOR BIKE LANE ACCOUNT PROJECTS WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's adopted Bicycle Master Plan (1976) identifies several projects that are necessary to complete a comprehensive, safe, and contiguous bicycle network; and WHEREAS, one funding source, available on a competitive basis only, is the Caltrans Bike Lane Account; and WHEREAS, proposals are due on December 1, 1992, and must include a resolution by Council guaranteeing matching funds; and WHEREAS, two projects that are eligible for said funds are 1) Doolittle Drive Bike Path Connection to Bay Farm Island Undercrossing, with the estimated project cost being $55,000 and the minimum required matching funding being $5,500; 2) Mariner Square Drive Bike Path with the estimated project cost being $70,000 and the minimum required matching funding being $7,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Alameda, that said Council hereby guarantees matching funds for Bike Lane Account Projects in the amount of $12,500 and that the City Manager of the City of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the City of Alameda all necessary applications, contracts, and agreements to implement and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of December , 1992, by the following vote to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: ABSTENTIONS: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow- 5, None.
