Resolution 12372CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12372 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 12330 FOR 1992-93 PROPOSITION 116 APPLICATIONS BY ADDING THE PROJECT "ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR ACQUISITION OF A LARGER VESSEL FOR THE ALAMEDA/OAKLAND FERRY SERVICE" WHEREAS, the California Transportation Commission has made a call for ferry projects for its 1992/93 Proposition 116 Funds; and WHEREAS, applications were due on November 30, 1992 and a resolution which either makes all assurances for screening criteria or delegates authority to make all screening criteria assurances to the person making the certification and attests to compliance with specified CTC policies and CATIA requirements was required as part of the application packet; and WHEREAS, the City has identified five projects which are eligible for funding under this program, entitled as follows: Drydock and Repair of Alameda Main Street Barge Ferry Vessel Acquisition for East End Service Extended ShorPlim, Protection Ferry Terminal Daycare Facility $1,125,000 in Additional Funds for Acquisition of a Larger Vessel for the Alameda/Oakland Ferry Service NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby amends Resolution No. 12330 to add the $1,125,000 in additional funds for acquisition of a larger vessel for the Alameda/Oakland Ferry Service and reaffirms the statements in Resolution No. !2330 as set forth below; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council delegates authority to make all screening criteria assurances to the City Manager; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council attests that no other capital funds previously programmed, planned, or approved for waterborne ferry purposes will be used for other than waterborne ferry uses; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council attests that new development fees, taxes or exactions, or permit fees have not and will not be included in the operating budget for these projects; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council attests that no other state funding sources will be utilized to complete these projects if costs exceed those identified in the approved appli- cation; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council attests that the City of Alameda has the financial and institutional ability to accept the legal liabilities associated with these projects. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the 17th day of March , 1993, by the following vote to wit: AYES: NOES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
