GUARANTEEING MATCHING FUNDS FOR
BIKE LANE ACCOUNT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda's adopted Bicycle Master
Plan (1976) identifies several projects that are necessary to
complete a comprehensive, safe, and contiguous bicycle network; and
WHEREAS, one funding source, available on a competitive
basis only, is the Caltrans Bike Lane Account; and
WHEREAS, proposals are due on December 1, 1993, and must
0 include a resolution by Council guaranteeing matching funds; and

0-az WHEREAS, Mariner Square Drive Bike- path, with the
0 estimated project cost being $69,900 and the minimum required
jL matching funding being $6,990, is eligible for said funds;
Cr-m' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
0 of Alameda, that said Council hereby guarantees matching funds for
Bike Lane Account Projects in the amount of $6,990.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of
November , 1993, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Roth and
President Withrow - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
