Resolution 12491CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12491 AMENDING MASTER FEE RESOLUTION NO. 12191 SETTING VARIOUS FEES FOR ALAMEDA BUSINESS LICENSES WHEREAS, at the January 4, 1993 regular City Council meeting, the City Council of the City of Alameda amended various sections of the Alameda Municipal Code pertaining to City of Alameda business licenses; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish various business license fees by City Council resolution; and WHEREAS, the Alameda Municipal Code and the California Government Code provide that the City Council may set fees for reasonable costs of providing various services by resolution; and WHEREAS, -Cie City Council, at the August 27, 1991 Special City Council meeting, directed City staff to amend the Alameda Municipal Code to reflect that fees shall be set by City Council resolution; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12:191 ("Master Fee Resolution"), as amended, codifies existing fees for various City services and permits; WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the fees for various City of Alameda business licenses are reasonable for providing the service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the following schedule of fees and allowable charges are hereby adopted as those to be charged for various City of Alameda business licenses: LICENSE FOR PLACE OF BUSINESS: FEE • Separate License for Each Place of Business: $20.00 • Minimum license for less than a full period: Fee: $25.00 or not less than 1/4 of the annual minimum fee for such category, whichever is greater. • Assignment or Transfer Fee: $20.00 • Lost License $20.00 MINIMUM ANNUAL TAX • Administrative headquarters, auto dealers and grocers, bowling alley, billiard or pool room, business and professional services, flea markets, general and specialty contractors, junk collectors, manufacturing, non-residential property rental, retailing and wholesaling, professional, semiprofessional; connected business, television subscription service, theaters and drive-ins and transportation of persons and goods shall not be less than the following amounts: ANNUAL MINIMUM FEE Gross revenues less than $50.00 $50,000 Gross revenues less than $75.00 $50 001 - $100,000 Gross revenues less than $96.00 $100,001 - $240,000 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Ordinance No. 1928, the City fees are subject to administrative adjustments not greater than 5% annually over the existing recovery levels. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall not become effective until the effective date of the adoption of the required implementing ordinance. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of January , 1994, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Lucas and President Withrow - 3.
