ADOPTING NEGATIVE DECLARATION IS-94-2,
FOR THE REZONING R-94-2, FOR THE PARCEL
LOCATED AT 1912 OAK STREET.
WHEREAS, David Gray on January 25, 1994, submitted an
application for a rezoning of the parcel at 1912 Oak Street from M-
1 (Intermediate Industrial Manufacturing District) to R-5 (General
Residential District); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act,
a Negative Declaration, 1S-94-2, has been recommended for adoption
by the Planning Board to the City Council and is adequate in
addressing the environmental impacts for the proposed rezoning; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan designates this parcel as Medium- 2 c 0
Density Residential; and
WHEREAS, the Business and Waterfront Improvement District map -i
designates this parce as residential; and C5
WHEREAS, the Planning Board held a public hearing on this
Negative Declaration on May 23, 1994 and recommended its approval
to City Council;
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing, on this
application on June 21, 1994, and has examined pertinent maps and
documents; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has made the following findings:
1. The proposed zoning reclassification will have no
significant adverse effects on the integrity of the
General Plan.
2. The proposed zoning reclassification will have no
significant adverse effects on the environment.
3. The proposed zoning reclassification will have no
significant adverse effects on the welfare of the
community.
4. The proposed zoning reclassification would be consistent
with the use designation specified by the Redevelopment
Land Use Map, Attachment 3 to the Community Improvement
Plan (CIP) for the Business and Waterfront Improvement
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Alameda that
said Council adopts Negative Declaration, IS-94-2, for the
Rezoning, R-94-2, for the parcel located at 1912 Oak Street.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of
June , 1994, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Lucas,
Roth and President Withrow - 5.
