Resolution 12566CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12566 AUTHORIZING APPLICATION AND COMMITTING TO LOCAL MATCH AND PROJECT DELIVERY SCHEDULE FOR INTERMODAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT (ISTEA) FUNDS FOR SECOND CYCLE, FISCAL YEARS 1994 -95, 1995 -96, AND 1996 -97, AND UNDERSTANDING THAT COST INCREASES ARE INELIGIBLE FOR ADDITIONAL ISTEA CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY (CMAQ) OR SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (STP) FUNDING WHEREAS, the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991 (ISTEA) (Public Law 102 -240, December 18, 1991) authorizes funding for several roadway and transit programs; and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has prepared an application which is being recommended for $745,920 in STP funding for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project in the 1994 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), adopted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and approved by the Federal Highway Administration; and WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1994 TIP is the adoption of a local resolution stating that: • The project will be built as described above: • Up to $149,184 in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Alameda for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project; • The City of Alameda understands that the STP /CMAQ funding is fixed at $745,920 for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project, and therefore, any cost increases cannot be expected to be funded from STP /CMAQ funds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Alameda, by adopting this resolution does hereby state: • That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute and file an application for funding under STP /CMAQ for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project; and • The project will be built as described above; and • Up to $149,184 in local matching funds will be provided by the City of Alameda for the ISTEA allocation for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project; and • The City of Alameda understands that the STP /CMAQ funding is fixed at $745,920 for the Atlantic Avenue Corridor Project, and therefore, any cost increases cannot be expected to be funded from STP /CMAQ funds. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of August. , 1994, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and President Withrow - 5.
