EXPANDING THE HOURS CITY HALL IS OPEN FOR
BUSINESS TO 8:00 A.M. TO 6:00 P.M. ON THURSDAY
AND DECLARING FRIDAY AS A HOLIDAY PURSUANT TO
CHARTER SECTION 22-8 AND AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 3663
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a balanced budget on
June 21, 1994; and
WHEREAS, due to the recession, County charges and monies
retained by the State, the budget contained a four (4) day work
week for City Hall effective October 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Charter Section 22-8, City Hall is
not required to be kept open for business on holidays.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Alameda that Resolution No. 3663 is hereby amended by
expanding the hours City Hall is open for business to 8:00 A.M. to
6:00 P.M. on Thursday and declaring Friday as a holiday pursuant to
Charter section 22-8.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of
September , 1994, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Lucas, Roth and
President Withrow - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Appezzato - 1.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
