AMENDING MASTER FEE RESOLUTION NO. 12191
BY ESTABLISHING A CHARITABLE SOLICITATION PERMIT FEE
WHEREAS, the Alameda Municipal Code and the California
Government Code provide that the City Council may set fees for
reasonable cost of providing various services by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the August 27, 1991 Special
City Council meeting directed City staff to amend the Alameda
Municipal Code to reflect that City fees shall be set by City
Council resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12191 ("Master Fee Resolution"),
as amended codifies existing fees for various City services and
permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the February 21, 1995 City
Council meeting, directed staff to establish a charitable
soliciation permit fee to cover the costs of permit application
review and record keeping; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the
proposed charitable soliciation permit fee is reasonable for
providing municipal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the following charitable solicitation permit fee be
established as follows:
CHARITABLE SOLICITATION PERMIT FEE: $25.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Ordinance No.
1928, the City fees are subject to administrative adjustments not
greater than 5% annually over the existing recovery levels.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all feesestablished by
Master Fee Resolution No. 12191 which are inconsistent with the fee
established by this resolution are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall not
become effective until the effective date of the adoption of
required implementing ordinance.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th day of
