APPOINTING BONNIE J. MCKEAN AS A MEMBER OF THE
CITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
(COMMUNITY-AT-LARGE SEAT)
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
pursuant to Section 2-14.2 of the Alameda Municipal Code and
Resolution No. 12149, and upon nomination of the Mayor, BONNIE J.
MCKEAN is hereby appointed to the office of member of the Economic
Development Commission (Community-At-Large Seat) of the City of
Alameda commencing November 21, 1995 and expiring on August 31,
1996 and to serve until her successor is appointed and qualified.

CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12715
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND
EXECUTE A RENTAL AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO
CITY OWNED LAND ON ATLANTIC AVENUE BETWEEN
WEBSTER STREET AND CONSTITUTION WAY FOR THE
SALE OF HOLIDAY TREES
WHEREAS, The Christmas Tree Company of Tualatin, Oregon
(hereafter "Company") wishes to rent City-owned land on Atlantic
Avenue between Webster Street and Constitution Way, as noted on the
map attached hereto as Exhibit A, for a period of six weeks from
November 22, 1995 to January 8, 1996 for the purpose of selling
Holiday trees; and
WHEREAS, the Company has agreed to pay rent in the amount
of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, the Company has agreed to donate an additional
One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to the Midway Homeless Shelter in
the City of Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Alameda hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
a rental agreement between the City of Alameda and The Christmas
Tree Company of Tualatin, Oregon, subject to securing a use permit,
for a period of six weeks from November 22, 1995 to January 8, 1996
for a rental fee of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) and a donation
to the Midway Homeless Shelter of the City of Alameda in the amount
of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).
