Resolution 12759CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION gO. 12759 CONFIRMING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF BOARDED BUILDING AND VACANT PARCEL MONITORING FEE AGAINST VARIOUS PROPERTIES WHEREAS, the City Council, at the September 19, 1995 City Council meeting directed City staff to establish an annual boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee and assess owners of long-term vacant parcels and boarded buildings which are not under repair or actively offered for sale, lease or rent; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at the December 19, 1995 City Council meeting adopted Resolution No. 12725 establishing an annual boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee; and WHEREAS, Alameda Municipal Code subsection 13-12.3 allows the City to assess the owners of boarded and vacant parcels an annual $400 boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee to cover the ft_ cost of continued monitoring and necessary enforcement actions to ensure adequate security and maintenance at the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City O:1,- Alameda that on April 16, 1996, it will be at least sixty (60) dayfI since the assessment of the boarded building and vacant parcey'r)...0) fl monitoring fee for each of the properties listed below and that adiyi, property owner which has not paid the fee should have the f4- confirmed as a special assessment against the property as provide_ in subsection 13-12.5 of the Alameda Municipal Code.
