AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN AND FILE
FOR, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY, A FINANCIAL APPLICATION FOR
A LOAN FROM THE STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD, AND
DEDICATE A SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR THE REPAYMENT OF THE
LOAN FOR INFILTRATION AND INFLOW, PHASE 5, SANITARY SEWER
REPLACEMENT PROJECT, NO. P.W. 08-95-15
WHEREAS, on January 18, 1994, the City Council authorized
participation in the State Revolving Loan Program; and
WHEREAS, on August 15, 1995, the City Council adopted
plans and specifications for Infiltration and Inflow, Phase 5,
Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project, No. P.W. 08-95-15; and
WHEREAS, the State Water Control Board requires that the
City Council, by resolution, designate an authorized representative
and dedicate a source of revenue for the repayment of the State
Revolving Fund loans for the Infiltration and Inflow, Phase 5,
Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project, No. P.W. 08-95-15.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City::,
of Alameda that the Public Works Director or his/her designee is
hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, for, on behalf of
the City of Alameda, a Financial Assistance Application for a loan
from the State Water Resources Control Board in the amount not to
exceed of Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,500,000)
for the design and construction of the Infiltration and Inflow,
Phase 5, Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project, No. P.W. 08-95-15.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVhD that the City of Alameda hereby
agrees and further doec authorize the aforementioned representative
or his/her designee to certify that the City of Alameda has and
will comply with all applicable state and federal statutory and
regulatory requirements related to any federal and state loan/grant
funds received.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Public Works Director
or his/her designee of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute a loan contract and any amendments thereto on
behalf of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Alameda dedicates
the Sewer Service fund as the funding source for repayment of the
State Revolving Fund loan for the Infiltration and Inflow, Phase 5,
Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project, No. P.W. 08-95-15.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th
day of August , 1996, by the following vote to wit:
