Resolution 12813CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12813 CONFIRMING SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF BOARDED BUILDING AND VACANT PARCEL MONITORING FEE AGAINST VARIOUS PROPERTIES WHEREAS, the City Council, at the September 19, 1995 City Council meeting directed City staff to establish an annual boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee and assess owners of long-term vacant parcels and boarded buildings which are not under repair or actively offered for sale, lease or rent; and WHEREAS, the City Council, at the December 19, 1995 City Council meeting adopted Resolution No. 12725 establishing an annual boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee; and WHEREAS, Alameda Municipal Code subsection 13-12.3 allows the City to assess the owners of boarded and vacant parcels an annual $400 boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee to cover the (' cost of continued monitoring and necessary enforcement actions to ensure adequate security and maintenance at the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of ( r Alameda that on July 1, 1996, it will be at least sixty (60) days since the assessment of the boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee for each of the properties listed below and that any property owner which has not paid the fee should have the fee confirmed as a special assessment against the property as provided in subsection 13-12.5 of the Alameda Municipal Code. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby confirms the boarded building and vacant parcel monitoring fee of $400 as a special assessment against each of the following described properties: Property Property Address Owner 842 Central Ave. 1310 Central Ave. 2222 San Jose Ave. 1628 Webster Street 1629 Park Street Chapel of the Chimes Shivcharanjit Lal, et al. Gloria Lohr Assessment Date 5-2-96 5-2-96 5-2-96 5-2-96 5-2-96 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney is hereby directed to prepare the necessary documents to notify Alameda County to collect the assessment at the same time and in the same manner as ordinary property taxes.
