APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
CONCESSIONAIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND
MIRAGLIA ENTERPRISES, INC.,
TO PROVIDE OPERATOR SERVICES FOR
OPERATION OF THE NAVAL AIR STATION OFFICERS' CLUB
AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FACILITY
WHEREAS, at the July 16, 1996 City Council meeting, the City Council approved the
issuance of a Request for Proposals from potential operators to conduct food and beverage
operations at the Naval Air Station Officers' Club; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Miraglia Enterprises, Inc., would best meet the
requirements of the Naval Air Station Officers' Club; and
WHEREAS, Miraglia Enterprises, Inc., represents that they are capable and willing to
perform as Concessionaire of the Naval Air Station Officers' Club; and
WHEREAS, the form of Concessionaire Agreement containing the terms, conditions and
covenants is on file in the Office of the City Clerk and the City Council of the City of Alameda is
informed of the contents thereof; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds totaling $163,000 is required to provide health,
safety, and accessibility improvements to the facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda
that said Council authorize the City Manager to execute the Concessionaire Agreement
substantially similar in foil," and containing the terms and conditions and covenants as set out in
the Concessionaire Agreement on file in the Office of the City Clerk.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Alameda appropriate $163,000 for
improvements from the General Fund Reserve with the proviso that the General Fund Reserve
will be the first recipient of all City revenues from operation of the Naval Air Station Officers'
Club.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th
day of May , 1997, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Kerr, Lucas
and President Appezzato - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
