Resolution 13021CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13021 AUTHORIZING A BUDGET ENCUMBRANCE FOR CITY OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AND THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION WHEREAS, pursuant to Redevelopment has activated Alameda (the the City Council of the City of Alameda, acting the provisions of the California Community Law (Heath and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.), the Community Improvement Commission of the City of "Commission ") and has declared itself to constitute the Commission by Ordinance No. 2103, adopted on August 4, 1982; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Community Redevelopment Law, the Commission is performing a public function of the City and may have access to services and facilities of the City; and WHEREAS, the City and the Commission have entered into a Cooperation Agreement in order to: (1) Set forth activities, services and facilities which the City will render for and make available to the Commission in furtherance of the activities and functions of the Commission under the Community Redevelopment Law; and. (2) Provide that the Commission will reimburse the City for actions undertaken and costs and expenses incurred by it, for and on behalf of the Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby advances, and directu and authorizes the Finance Director of the City to establish a budget encumbrance for the City obligations under the Cooperation Agreement in the amount of $933,200 for fiscal year 1998 -99. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st day of July , 1998, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Lucas and President Appezzato - 4.
