ADOPTING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, GPA 98 -1, TO AMEND FIGURE 4 - 2
(BIKEWAYS /BAY TRAIL) OF THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Council has initiated an amendment to the General Plan,
which would amend General Plan Figure 4 - 2 (Bikeways /Bay Trail) of the Transportation Element
of the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, on January 13, 1999, the Alameda Planning Board conducted a public hearing
to consider applicable testimony and examine pertinent maps, drawings and documents, and has
recommended that the City Council adopt the proposed General Plan Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda City Council has determined that the General Plan Amendment
qualifies for a Mitigated Negative Declaration in compliance with the intent and requirements of
CEQA, and the State CEQA Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 1999, the Alameda City Council conducted a public hearing to ;`.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Alameda City Council hereby approves
General Plan Amendment, GP -98 -1, to amend Figure 4 -2 (Bikeway /Bay Trail) of the
Transportation Element, as proposed in Exhibit "A."
NOTICE, No judicial proceedings subject to review pursuant to California Code of Civil
Procedure Section 1094.5 may be prosecuted more than ninety (90) days following the date of this
decision plus the extensions authorized by California Procedure Section 1094.6.
