Resolution 13095CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13095 APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A SAN FRANCISCO BAY ACCES; PROGRAM GRANT AND APPOINTING THE CITY MANAGER AS AGENT WHEREAS, the Coastal Conservancy, a state agency, has initiated a program of competitive grants, using funding provided by the California Legislature in 1998 and available in 1999, to add new segments to the Bay Trail, improving the existing Bay Trail, and add connectors and destination points; and WHEREAS, the Coastal Conservancy has adopted rules and procedures which require the applicant to certify by resolution the authority to submit the proposal, the authority to enter in a contract with the Coastal Conservancy, and the designation of the applicant's authorized representative; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Alameda hereby finds the proposal is Categorically Exempt under CERA Guidelines, Section 15304 - Minor Alterations to Land. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council: Approves the filing of an application for a San Francisco Bay Access Program Grant for the installation of a trail connection between the Wind River development and an existing shoreline trail and minor trail access enhancements; and 2. Appoints the City Manager or his authorized deputy as the agent to coordinate, process, and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments, and ancillary documents within the scope of the grant application. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of March , 1999, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and President Appezzato - 5.
